How do I pay my rent?
Rent is due on the 1st of each month with a five (5) day grace period. For consistency, security, and efficiency, all rent payments must be made through the Legacy Pines Tenant Portal.
For your convenience, the Tenant Portal supports multiple modern payment options, including:

● Debit Card
● Credit Card
● Apple Pay
● Electronic Cash Payments through an authorized Pay Near Me provider
To protect all parties, Legacy Pines does not accept:
● Personal checks
● Cash payments
● Mailed payments
● In-person or office drop-offs
What happens if my rent is late?
Rent not received within the applicable grace period is subject to late fees and enforcement actions as permitted by your lease agreement and the South Carolina Residential Landlord and Tenant Act. Timely communication is strongly encouraged—addressing concerns early allows for the most efficient and professional resolution.
How do I submit a maintenance request?
Maintenance requests should be submitted through the Tenant Portal or by calling our 24/7 Maintenance Hotline at 888-318-1197. The hotline provides immediate troubleshooting support and can also assist with submitting a maintenance request, ensuring prompt and efficient service at any time.
Am I responsible for any maintenance?
Under your lease and the South Carolina Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, tenants are responsible for keeping the dwelling reasonably clean and safe, properly disposing of waste, maintaining plumbing fixtures, and using all appliances and building systems in a reasonable manner. Tenants are also expected to perform routine upkeep, such as replacing light bulbs and HVAC filters, and to avoid any actions—intentional or negligent—that may damage or impair the property.
Can I make changes to the property?
Any alterations, including painting, fixtures, or upgrades, require prior written approval from management.
What is the policy on pets?
Each property may have certain pet restrictions based on owner preference, HOA guidelines, and insurance requirements. We do require that any accepted pet be at least 1 year of age, spayed/neutered, and have a current Rabies vaccine. Every applicant must submit a profile with Our Pet Policy during the application process. Approved applicants with pets are subject to a separate pet addendum.
When will I get my security deposit back?
In accordance with the South Carolina Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, security deposit accounts are reconciled within thirty (30) days of move-out and completion of the final inspection. Any applicable deductions are clearly itemized to ensure transparency and a consistent, well-managed closeout process.
